All righty time to finish my post from last night. So a really quick summary of the book. What used to be the United States is divided up into 12 districts with the Capitol at it's center. The districts are full of poverty and starvation while the capitol is full of wealth. Every year the Capitol holds the Hunger Games as a way to show the citizens they can't do anything to stop the vicious cycle. For the hunger games (HG) a boy and and girl from each district are chosen to compete in the HG. But the HG are no ordinary test of strength or speed, the competitors are thrown into a huge arena to fight each other to the death. The last person alive is sent home to live a life of wealth and ease. That's the basic plot, if that doesn't draw you in I guess i can't help you. For those of you out there with weak stomachs I will say there isn't the gore you would expect. Collins does an excellent job of presenting the plot. You feel for the charecters as if you are there too. It is one of the best books i have read in my life. I recomendit to anyone out there looking for a good book.
That should cover it. any other questions came be left in comment form. I shall do my best to answer all such questions.

Book of the Week
The Hunger Games
Suzanne Collins
My fave book of the week if not the year. It made my top ten books of 2008 list last year and even now makes me laugh, cry, and holds my at the edge of my seat until the very last page. I normally don't reread books so soon after finishing them but my book club is reading it for next month and i am in charge of leading. I decided reading the book again was the best way of going about preparing discussion questions.
It is one of those books that just begs to be discussed with a group. Every aspect of is seems to have two sides of the story that need to be told.
Okay i'm really tired but i'll finish tomorrow for all my devoted fans

twilight strikes again!
every teen girl in the country has caught it. twilust! with the movie released to dvd just days ago fans are once again screaming it's praises. I was one of the many to rush to buy the movie but found myself disapointed. In theaters Twilight had held me on the edge of my seat but in the comfort of my own home it was just another bad romance movie. To ward off the lingering upset of the movie i have started rereading the series. I find that even on my third time through i fall in love first with edward cullen then with jacob black. While most readers have a distinct camp i can't seem to make up my mind? so i want to know waht you think. Answer my twilight polls to see who really rules
